Stall Count

One defender, when they are within 3 metres of the thrower on the court, is allowed make a stall count. This is done by counting from 1 to 10, at one second intervals, loud enough for the thrower to hear.

If the defender gets to the T of ten before the thrower has released the disc then a “Stall Out” turnover occurs. The thrower loses possession and should drop the disc on the ground.
